Fred was a truly inspiring leader and he has been missed at BWC since he retired. He always looked out for his staff and cared about the clients we supported. He had great energy, good stories and full of ideas. It was a pleasure to have worked with him. Rest well Fred. Payal

Fred, I will always remember you throwing me straight into the deep end at BWC, persuading the trustees to make me Chair of the Finance & Investment Committee pretty much as soon as I joined the board. I will also remember the sage and well researched advise that you offered the board of the migraine charity Migraine Action when we were in the process of merging with the Migraine Trust. Thank you for your support. Gary George
Mr Gary George
Great sadness to lose a close pal and ex-colleague with this dreadful illness. We shared some incredible experiences in your early life and with the bank and it was great honour for me, to have been Fred and Sue's best man at their wedding. Rest in peace my old friend.
Mr Ken Barber
Dear Sue, Louise and Simon, My thoughts have been with you since the unreal and unbearable news, and I am sending you much strength and love. Fred was one of a kind, a role model, a visionary, a friend, a great boss and mentor. He had such care for others and a great sense of fairness. Never shy of hard work, as a matter of fact the more ideas to explore the better. We had such fun! From the moment I met Fred at my first interview, I knew he was someone I wanted to work for - 11.5 years went by in a flash but we had achieved so much. Loved him dearly and enjoyed the moments that I was able to spend with Sue and Fred post retirement. Sue, you are just as strong as Fred, keep focused on your progress and recovery so that you can look forward to a summer in your beautiful garden. I hope I will be able to join you there for a coffee then. Lots of love Alisa xx
